Ground Waste Recycling Limited (GWRL) Our Waste Disposal Facility at Burrowfield, Welwyn Garden City makes for a more convenient location for those looking to handle their waste management requirements in the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire.

We operate a swift Waste Transfer Service to holders of a current Waste Carriers Licence, providing a fast and convenient service to unload construction waste.

The site is suitable for even the largest of rigid bodied vehicles and pride is taken on the speed at those unloading their waste are on the road again, meaning less time is wasted queueing, leaving you more time to concentrate on your own projects. The sites cater for anything from the smallest of Patio jobs to major demolition works and can accept both commercial and domestic waste – They take the lot!

This has led to the examination of materials that can be recovered by various processes. The recycling of these materials along with a better understanding and awareness of all the contributing environmental matters is of great concern to both the company and the construction and commercial industry as a whole.

Waste handled by our Waste Transfer Stations is segregated into it’s different categories by a process of screening and picking. This then enables the different materials to be taken to various selected locations for reprocessing and re-use, further reducing the use of landfill sites.

Segregating waste at source remains the best environmental and commercial option for waste producers and GWRL are currently able to recycle 94% of all material handled. This has a massive effect on the reduction of landfill waste and a great improvement on the carbon footprint of any waste handler.

Tickets are provided to Waste Carriers tipping at our station to discharge their legal liability – having dropped at a licensed centre.
